............................................................................................

Here are just some pictures of our recent adventures!!
Yesterday i had a lot of fun playing volleyball on the beach-- and i am officially proud to say i didn't put on sunscreen-- played for at least 3 hours in the bright sun-- and i got a lot of color :) No more burning for this girl!!!  Then played some pool at Pez Gordo, met some fun people, and then continued back to play lots and lots of cards :) Great day!

Today is Laundry Day-- i need to learn Spanish Pronto..

Like most buildings here in PV-- Gorgeous.. You hardly see anything like this in Seattle.. Here they are everywhere you look. The details are just incredible and so beautiful.. Feel lucky to live in  such a nice place. Colorful, pretty designs, fancy doors :) and always basking in sunlight!
This guy just performs on the Malecon (boardwalk downtown) often.. Dont know how he does it!!! please if you do., leave a comment or just let me know!!!!

My favorite little guy Edgar :) Kept bringing me rocks for a long time. back  and forth with little handfuls.. hahah i had quite the collection at the end.

                                                           Sunset from out apartment!!!
standing in the water :) loving the ocean!!!!

And lastly.. my out of practice handstand!!

So...within the next couple of weeks i begin my....... JOB SEARCH! I'm excited to start working again believe or not.. Maybe i like being a busy body more than i thought. Not sure exactly what i want to do yet but hopefully it will be something that i can enjoy!!

welcome home

glowww party!

"Should we go out tonight?"
"I don't know.."
"Lets just go with adolfo, its a glow party"
"ok..."

We are so glad we did!! so "glow party" i guess means grab a bottle of wet paint and throw it all over everybody.... like your hair and face, and skirt, and chest, and legs, and feet, and welll pretty much everywhere....

THANK GOD it was water based.. :)

Anyways, we had a blast dancing and decorating each other with paint and actually didn't go to sleep till 6 am!!

We then woke up and decided we needed a Gringa
desayuno so we went to the Pancake house in old town-- yummmmy:) We actually had gone here with the familia about 8 years ago?  We got waffles and eggs! Then we walked like a mile on the beach to meet Melanie and Jorge to play volleyball. However, after 3 hours of sleep i (lily) wasn't really in prime condition to play (well, thats my excuse).

Then we came home and took siestas grande :)

WE also discovered that Netflix works here and has a very good selection at the moment. IF you have Netflix and have not seen the movie Once, you should go watch it like NOW!

Good sleeps last night- weird dreams again >:(

andddddd now today is cleaning day and we get our own internet! WOOOHOOO!

OXOX for now :)

in our dreams..

literally in our dreams!!! We have been having the cukoo-est dreams whilst sleeping here in Mexico. maybe its the water.. just kidding! But i had a dream that i was at home with all my friends last night and Elizabeth and i went to see a movie... its much stranger than that but i don't wanna bore you with the deets,,,
Sara keeps having stressful work dreams.. maybe she needs some mota :) hehe

But NOT literally in our dreams we had such a great day yesterday. We went to Nuevo Vallarta about 4o ish minutes north of us and had a fun day at the Grand Mayan Resort!

Played beach volleyball for a couple hours right when we got there.. Then after i was about to pass out from not drinking water we jumped in the ocean then the pool... then got some swim up bar drinks :)  floated the lazy river then went down the water slide... We got to meet Jorge's and Chabelo's friends Anna from Wisconsin and she was very sweet!

Today is a lazy day.. We are waiting for someone to come and give us hot water for our shower.. even though the cold showers have proven to be very refreshing!

Its been officially a week! weird..

Missing all my friends.. ALL of you need to try and make it down this way for a visit.. i promise youll love it here!

No complaining allowed-- our new abode

We love it! so cute and perfecto. We live really close walking distance to walmart.. which has just about everything :) The fruit has been so yummy here and probably the best avocado ive ever had! Last need we went on  a grocery spree and it  included nutella.. YUM!
Our neighborhood is full of restaurants and close to just about everything we need... Now all we need is a costco membership card.... :) the streets in our area are good for running and its kind of perfect distance to run to the water and back for a short run. Just gotta make sure you go early or late because otherwise its a wee but hot.

Da tan lines are starting to come out.. bittersweet, but we cant exactly chill on the beach naked.. unless we find a nude beach...

Anyways, no complaining allowed because, well , look around us :) Surrounded by beautiful things and eveything we could possibly need!

Sayulita!!!

Yesterday Sara, Melanie, Rodolfo and Lily ventured up the Mexican Coast into Nayarit (which is actually a different time zone even though it’s about 20 minutes driving north of Puerto Vallarta) We drove to Sayulita with Rodolfo and stopped at the Grand Mayan Resort on the way which was very cool, and scary at the entrance. We will be going back there for another day trip on tuesday! The rest of the drive was very pretty, can’t wait to see everything all green and lush once the rain starts in June.

Sayulita was a very chido (cool) town. SO COLORFUL, and restaurants everywhere. It’s right on a beautiful beach, too.  We laid in chairs soaking up the very hot sun.. which only gets hotter from here on out. Rodolfo was very generous all day and we had such a good time. He rented a paddleboard and Lily went out with him! It was a good work our and very relaxing out on the water. We headed home to get ready for dinner. We went out with Jorge, Melanie, Chabelo, Perro Shit,  Rodolfo, y  Sarita y Liliana! Sara and Lily shared Pozole, y flautas. Pozole is gonna be a new favorite, it’s kind of shredded pork soup with corn like kernels but better.. You just gotta try it! La cena was very close to our apartment, five minute walk. It was nice to walk a little more through our new neighborhood. I AM IN LOVE WITH WHERE I LIVE.

The colors, the sun, the culture, the language, the company. We are 2 very happy girls.

After dinner we went back to Jorge’s and Melanie’s for what Jorge would call some “rums” J We played a few card games and had a great time.  Let’s just say one of the games ended up with Jorge drawing blue mustaches on everyone… I (lily) got to draw Jorges and I did a fabulous job! Hehe quizas…4
--- slowly learning the slang of PV : wey, no mames, yo estoy peda, chido, getting fun :)
Today we are heading downtown into PV for some more exploration with Melanie.
We are happy and lucky girls. We are so grateful for this experience and can’t believe it’s only been  3 days… feels like longer!

The yummy breakfast Sara made this morning.. Too bad lily was really hungover hahah

                                                                          yummy fruta :)
                                                                   Lily and Melanie
Sara and Lily Rocking the mustaches,,,
the group with our facial hair
                                           SAYULITA!
The drive to Sayulita.. These trees were cool because they were the only color. It hasnt rained in about  6 months and everything is brown except these yellow trees.

PS! sorry i went a little over board posting picturas... sayulita was just so cute :) and we had a fun night..

No Mames

Pavo Real... our new street. And by our I mean Sara and Lily. Sisters on an adventure in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, MEXICO! We plan on being here till the lovely month of Agosto.

We arrived yesterday and have been so overwhelmed by how perfect everything is. Beautiful apartment, beautiful weather, beautiful people, and the best neighbors we could ever ask for, Jorge and Melanie. We are just a short 20 minute walk to the nearest beach and have a beautiful view of the mountains from our 3rd story balcony.

Walked to the beach today and saw a dead parrot and bat :( But we also saw lots of iguana eggs cracked open along the sidewalks. Melanie told us that it hasn't rained since the end of October, and when it starts to around June everything becomes beautiful and Lush.. and VERY hot.. Cant wait!

Lily's butt is burnt and Sara's stomach is slightly lobsterish as well. hehe :) but so far these are our only battle wounds... WE WILL GET TAN!

Also, we have a drawer full of pens, so Lily can sleep soundly at night.
We will be leaving for Walmart shortly to finish our last little apartment needs.. Pictures of our humble abode will be up later!

Our only internet is WiFi outside on our patio so all of our internet excursions must be done in the sun... i'm not complaining.. We will be getting out own internet soon..

Well tata for now!
