Nothing too excited happening around here.. we have both been working quite a lot and just enjoying the nightly thunderstorms i guess... nothing like ive ever seen before! Huge, loud, and bright. and oh yes, lets not forget the massive sheets of rain!!

Thought i post this little gem on here... its embarrasing.. i get it.. blah blah blah... whatever! it was fun to do!!

Thirstday Update

Hola! Buenos Tardes!

We have had a pretty good last couple of weeks! 

I finally got a job! Making smoothies on the Malecon.. and i cant complain too much because the view is endless waves and sunsets! Sara is still on a job hunt.. send her love and luck!!

Have had some fun pool nights and dancing nights as well! Trying to keep from being the whitest people in town so we've done quite a bit of beach days.. Played volleyball yesterday! 

We are headed to the movies tonight to see project x..... excited because i LOVE scary movies!  and then to Harry's bar after for Ladies night :)! 

Missing family and friends.. wishing someone... Just ONE person would come visit...anyone .... really... just anyone...  but im thinking that maybe they will have to visit when we most likely come back october- march :) yuuuup!!!!

Learning that PV is really the smallest place on earth.. smaller than Kirkland, Salt Spring Island, Tree Hill, and even Dillon hhahaha -- but really. if you live here.. you know everyone! and run into everyone, everywhere.. we havent even been here two months and were catching on!

Still loving it here, and i know a lot of people who would love it here.. different lifestyle... Mexican Time is the best time haha

Hi! The weeks are going by faster and faster..

I have been starting to inquire about jobs and i'm planning on heading out tomorrow as well.. maybe ill be lucky enough to get a job!!

Yesterday i was on a job hunt i swear! But then Sarita wanted to get her nose pierced so we went to Chapa tattoo and guess what!! 250 pesos! what a steal!! at home it would easily be 1000 pesos! So spur of the moment i decided to get my "marilyn monroe" piercing, right above my lip... :) i love it!

We also went out to Xtine last night and had a really good time! it was a drama free and tequila filled night! lots of dancing and good friends:) 

Today we went to a friends house for a birthday party/ game watching! It was the big futbol game Chelsea vs that German team.. Me, Jorge and Sara made a bet that it Chelsea won, i would pay for tortas ahogados in the morning, if Germany won, Jorge would, and if it was a tie, Sara would.. The game was 0-0 at the 90 minute mark and even though Chelsea won in a shootout, we decided that the score 0-0 was a tie originally and Sara is going to pay. he he!!!

Wish me luck tomorrow.. i NEED a job, or i might go LOCO!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Happy Mothers Day to my wonderful and beautiful Mommy! I miss you so much and wish that i could spend this day with you! I am very excited to see you in a few weeks and can't wait to show you all we have learned here in Mexico!

And Happy Mothers Day to all the other Mommies in my life.. Thank you for all you have done :) 

Mothers Day in Mexico is always on May 10th, so this year it was 3 days ago on Thursday.

Thinking of you always and appreciating all you have done for us always.

yes.. it has officially been one month.... where did the time go??!

Last night, aka, Friday, we had a few too many "Rons"-- spanish for rum! so that of course leads to the best hangover food ever this (saturday)- TORTAS AHOGADAS! yummm! so good.. 

We also have discovered that the roof is completely accessible! If we get out there early enough its not too hot to tan and then we can work on being brown. 

anyways, today i watched Friday Night Lights for longer than i should have.. so we finally got up and went downtown to watch a gorgeous sunset and go out for dinner! yum! 

We had a good night and now we are contemplating if we should go out tonight.. its currently 11 pm but the real fun doesn't start till like 1 here!  If we do go out i need a  nap first hehe

note: if you order a medium rare steak in Mexico it will be rare.. good. but rare :P

Hike, Swim, Food

Today we were lucky enough to join Adolfo and Tara and coworkers to go on a hike :)

We left around 9 and were eating lunch at around noon!

Probably took about 40 minutes each way. The top was beautiful.. a small waterfall with beautiful, clear, refreshing and fishy water awaited us at the top! Had a great day..


 now i think were headed to a playboy party??! Better go find my ears :)

out and about... and down the coast

We just love the Malecon at night.. doesn't matter what day of the week.. it's ALWAYS busy.. and also, doesn't matter what time of night .. 1130pm or 3 am there's always people (probably drunk at the 3 am time) roaming around.. Lots of families too! It's beautiful with all of the art, shops, clubs, restaurants, etc.. yadayada.. You can hear and see the waves crashing and feel the warm Mexico breeze:)

We took a little day trip south of Downtown today-- originally headed for Playa de Las Gemelas, but there was some bullshit sign saying something about research and oil at the gate. Fine! so we walked down a little more and found a beautiful and quiet beach with fine white sand and clean clean clean water! We thoroughly enjoyed our time! Naps, sudoku, reading, swimming :) lucky lucky lucky,, Then we headed home, and well here i am!!! just had an AMAZING cold shower and i think in a little we're headed downtown for the sunset, a walk and maybe some dollar beers at Cheeky Monkey :)
